Who We Are and Why We Serve

Hart Law was founded in 2017 with one simple mission: to make quality legal help accessible to everyday people in Northeastern Pennsylvania. From our offices in Dunmore and Carbondale, we serve neighbors across Lackawanna County and the surrounding communities. When you come to us, you’ll find attorneys who listen first, explain clearly, and work side by side with you—not above you.

Attorney John M. Hart III started Hart Law after years of seeing how large firms treated clients like case numbers instead of people. He envisioned a different kind of practice—one built on approachability, local relationships, and practical solutions. At Hart Law, you’re just as likely to find us in hiking boots as in suits, because we want our clients to know we’re part of the same community they live and work in.

We’re proud of our roots in the Scranton area. Our firm supports local events, publishes a quarterly newsletter with an events calendar, and lends time and resources to causes that matter to our neighbors. We know what it means to juggle work, family, and unexpected legal challenges—and we strive to provide help that’s down-to-earth and realistic for working families.
